Zhang’s first name "Jike" originates from Brazilian footballer Zico. He himself is a big fan of Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo. Zhang Jike became the 4th male player in the history of table tennis to achieve a career "Grand Slam", winning Olympics, World Cup and World Championships singles titles (within 445 days by the way). His nickname in China is Tibetan Mastiff.
